Wheel Alignment 

There is a difference between wheel tracking and four wheel alignment. Tracking is more suitable for older cars that have very little or no adjustment. Four wheel alignment is a more accurate test and service for modern cars.

Wheel alignment is important to ensure your wheels are set to the optimum position as per the car manufacturer’s specifications, incorrectly aligned wheels can result in rapid tyre wear. It can also affect the handling and safety of the vehicle. Alignment problems can occur from hitting a kerb, driving over a pothole or even excessive wear to steering or suspension. Getting your wheel alignment checked annually dramatically reduces the above named issues. 

Always check your tyres and keep your eye out for any unusual wear on tyres as premature wear on the inside or outside shoulder could be a sign of incorrect wheel alignment. 

Four Wheel Alignment measures a minimum of 12 angles. It then compares this to alignment data specified by your vehicles manufacturer. This allows for accurate and repeatable readings it also takes into account wheel trim run out. On modern cars tracking alone is unlikely to deliver a complete alignment.
